Meet Your Charity: Family YMCA of the Desert
The Family YMCA of the Desert is the largest provider of licensed childcare in the Coachella Valley, with facilities in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Indio. We serve over 750 local children and families each day at our nine sites. The Palm Desert Aquatic Center, owned by the City of Palm Desert, is managed by the YMCA, and sees additional children, families, and community members throughout the year. The YMCA provides a variety of programs, camps, and other events and activities for members of our community. The primary focus of the Y is to reinforce caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while also helping kids to develop social skills, confidence, leadership, and fitness.
