Meet Your Charity: Shay's Warriors-Life After Cancer
Shay’s Warriors organizes ongoing educational programs, workshops and special events so our warriors, survivors and thrivers can connect with our inspiring community. We’re all about the mind-body connection. We also host our annual I AM HOPE Survivors Reset Retreat. A retreat so that cancer survivors can Relax. Reset. Reconnect. Because cancer changes everything. The I AM HOPE Survivors Reset Retreat, organized by Shay’s Warriors, focuses on life after cancer. It is an annual weekend-long event providing a low- or no-cost opportunity for survivors locally and beyond who have finished their active treatments to gather together and participate in educational sessions and emotional support conversations. This retreat provides a safe place for those who have endured cancer to reset with others who are survivors in all aspects: physically, mentally and spiritually. Ultimately, participants will get to walk away with warrior laughter, love and friendships that will last a lifetime. All donations from the Gardens Concert Series will be providing scholarships for survivorship programs, workshops, and our retreat.
